I was awarded the Khorana Fellowship to do a 10-week interdisciplinary research in Indiana University.

 

Kinesin-5, a motor protein, is highly indispensable for cell division. It is therefore, an important candidate for anti-cancer drug. I performed MD Simulation to gauge the conformational changes in this motor protein in the absence of ligand. Tangentially, we also went ahead to verify the melting of its secondary structure after heating, as shown in the figure above. Kindly refer the presentation for more details.
